If you have a 4 year old daughter like mine, she is obsessed with anything she can dress up, put make-up on and tote around with her. Yup! We are in the doll phase full swing here at Link Fairy HQ. One of the things my daughter loves to do is give her babies a bath, but the dolls aren’t always cut out for being submerged and scrubbed. Thankfully Adora has created a baby doll that perfectly fits my daughter’s desire to take her babies in the tub with their line of BathTime Babies! BathTime Babies have a special soft, “Quickdri” body that makes them water friendly and fast drying, perfect for bath time play!
We had the chance to test out the new BathTime Babies from Adora as well as their Medium Shade Umbrella Stroller and my daughter is totally hooked!
The BathTime Baby doll line is unlike any other I’ve seen. The dolls feature a hard face and limbs but have a soft, almost bathing suit material for a middle that is filled with beads. The bodice of the doll is completely closed so you don’t have to worry about any of the special beading coming out of the doll. The belly area is printed with a bathing suit pattern so when the bath robe is removed, the doll is ready for playing in the water! They also have eyes that close when the doll is laid down.
I love that the doll has such a soft middle since it makes it great for hugging and playing with. My daughter really likes that the BathTime Baby fits perfectly in the Medium Shade Umbrella Stroller that Adora offers as well! The stroller is made from metal and a few plastic parts with a fabric seat and shade. It is also collapse-able so that it can be easily stored, which gives it an extra point in my book!
When put to the bathtime test, Adora’s BathTime Baby Doll passed with flying colors! My daughter had a great time with the doll and again, the soft body came in handy when playing. I did find it took a bit for the doll to dry completely, so if your little one is wanting the doll right after bath time, you may want to let it sit for a few hours before hand.
Of course, no new baby doll experience is complete without a stroll down the block! We took the BathTime Baby out for a walk around the neighborhood and received loads of compliments!
