Thank you to World Market for providing me with a gift card to facilitate my article. All opinions are my own.
When it comes to finding the most unique gifts and decor items there’s only one place I look and that’s World Market! From beautiful hand-made furniture to drinks, food and gifts from around the globe, World Market is the hub where all things unique come to be found. With the holiday season upon us and everyone getting ready for the shopping rush, sometimes it’s not easy to make time to find the perfect holiday items for yourself. Being a mom, I know this all too well and was asked by World Market to help make getting ready for the season a bit easier for a local family. I decided to participate in World Market’s Share The Joy Challenge and create a fun gift basket filled with World Market’s holiday finest and deliver it to a local military family!
For me, the best part of creating a gift basket is always shopping for items to include. When I’m in a World Market, I seriously have to set a time limit for myself otherwise I would spend my entire day looking at everything! They always have the cutest holiday items and I love that I can find fun treats and food from around the world.
After browsing down every isle I found a bunch of great holiday products including:
- World Market Cocoa Packets
- Snowman Doo and Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow candies
- An Alpine Gingerbread House Kit
- Holiday Icing Pens
- Ninjabread Cookie Kit
- Holiday Pasta
- Christmas Tree Taper Candles
- Noel Glittered Twig Wall Sign
- Vanilla Bean Potpourri
- Driftwood Star Nativity Scene
- Glass Pickle Ornament
- Burlap Wrapped Tree
- Mini Reindeer Crackers
- Naughty and Nice Spatulas
- Sweet Holidays Melamine Plates
- Policeman Nutcracker
I have to admit, it was not easy attempting to fit everything I had bought into the largest basket I could find in the store! After many reorganizing attempts I felt it looked like a gift basket that radiated holiday fun and I couldn’t wait to pass it along! I had found a wonderful local military family to give the basket to, both the parents work extremely hard and their son is close to my own daughter’s age. I couldn’t think of a better way to thank them for their service to our country then to surprise them with a holiday gift basket full of World Market goodies!
After arranging a meet up for a night of football for the husbands we showed up at their door, basket in arms. The look of sheer surprise and happiness that came over the whole family, especially the little boy truly made my heart burst with joy! They were so excited to look at everything and I loved watching them dig through and discover what was inside. Sometimes I think we forget the amount of joy we receive by giving to others. This is what makes the holiday season so special since it reminds us of how important it is!
