This blog post was sponsored by KING’S HAWAIIAN® but the opinions are all my own.
It’s football season and for my family that means every weekend turns into smorgasbord weekend. With friends and family heading over to watch the games, I like to keep everyone’s tummies happy with tummy game day appetizers. My favorite go-to recipe is my easy BBQ crock-pot meatballs. This recipe is simple, fun and tastes great while feeding lots of people all at once. Whenever I make this recipe I love to use KING’S HAWAIIAN® BBQ sauce and bread from my local H-E-B.
I’ve always loved the selection of KING’S HAWAIIAN® products that I find at my local H-E-B. Every time I shop for their items they are easy to find and at a great price. I love that KING’S HAWAIIAN® offers bread in all different types of styles such as dinner rolls and loafs and in great flavors such as their Original Sweet Hawaiian, Jalapeno, and Honey Wheat. They just make it that much easier to pair with whatever I’m making for dinner that night. Throw in their new BBQ sauces and I have a fun new way of spicing up my appetizers and entrees.
KING’S HAWAIIAN® new BBQ sauces come in 4 tasty flavors including:
- Original Sweet Pineapple (recommended on Chicken, Pulled Pork, and Burgers)
- Kona Coffee (recommended on ribs and pulled pork)
- Big Island Lava (recommended on chicken and fish)
- Smoked Bacon (recommended on beef brisket, ribs and hot dogs)
My personal favorites are the Original Sweet Pineapple and Kona Coffee but of course the Smoked Bacon and Big Island Lava are tasty too!
Adding KING’S HAWAIIAN® BBQ sauce and bread products from H-E-B to your game day menu is a sure fire way to spice up your get together. My BBQ crock-pot meatballs never fail to satisfy even the pickiest eater. The only issue you’ll run into is what to do when they are all gone!

- Combine the meatballs and BBQ sauce in a crock-pot. Cook on low for 4 hours. Serve meatballs in between KING’S HAWAIIAN® Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls and enjoy!
I suggest using at least a jar and a half of the BBQ sauce. If you want saucier or less saucy meatballs, adjust the amount to your liking.
