Thank you to PlaSmart for providing me with products to review for my article
As a parent, I’m always looking for products that are fun, educational, sturdy, versatile, easy to clean, and require as little putting together as possible. It’s hard to find items that are able to give me everything I’m hoping for all wrapped up into one product. Thankfully, PlaSmart has heard the call of parents like me, creating products that wrap all my hopes into each item they offer! We were given the chance to test out an array of PlaSmart products, including the Plasma Car, Plasma Bike, Plasma Bug, Smart Mat, Splash Art and the Hard Working Tools Drill!
The Plasma Car
You’ve seen kids wiggling around on them for a few years now and I’ve been wanting to grab one for my daughter for a while. The Plasma Car is a ride on toy that allows kids to harnesses the natural forces of inertia, centrifugal force, and friction! It’s basically a fun, moving science experiment that gets kids outdoors and keeps them moving! The Plasma Car can also be used indoors which is what we did, since we still had snow on the ground. The car does require a little construction but it took us all of 15 min to put it together and get it going.
The instructions tell you to get the car going by setting on it with your feet up on the black strips and wiggling the steering wheel back and forth. My 3 year old absolutely loves it and it’s become her favorite ride on toy that we own. I was a little surprised at how well she adapted to using the steering wheel to move the Plasma Car instead of pushing with her feet. It’s actually pretty funny to be sitting in the living room and see her all of a sudden come rolling in to join us. 🙂 The car is made from hard, durable plastic and can certainly take a beating.
The red Plasma Car retails for $49.99 on Amazon.com and can be purchased HERE

The Plasma Bike
The Plasma Bike is the new balance Bike from PlaSmart. It’s geared towards ages 18 mo to 4 years old (or 55 lbs) and encourages balance, coordination, and motor skill development. Plus it weighs less than 7 pounds making it super light and easy to transport. The Plasma Bike
requires NO construction, a personal plus for me, and is ready to go right out of the box! It’s also made from hard, durable plastic and includes a working horn on top of the bike. My 2 year old jumped at the chance to test it out once we unpacked it.
The Plasma Bike ‘s wide wheels and large seat give my little one a safe and fun ride without the worry of tipping over. He can easily sit on the bike without his feet on the ground and it won’t tip over. My 2 year old is 35 in tall and his feet just touch the ground when sitting, so I’m not sure an 18 mo old would really be able to touch enough to push themselves along. The wheels feature treads in the plastic that allow for better gripping of the concrete and on our wood floors, they make a fun sound that sounds like a motorcycle.
The Plasma Bike retails for $54.99 on Amazon.com and can be purchased HERE

Plasma Bug
The PlasmaBug is the smallest and newest addition to the Plasma family. It’s super light weight, just 2lbs 3oz and offers front and back storage space for little ones to tote around toys. It comes in two different colors, black and white and red and white. The PlasmaBug is perfect for smaller, indoor spaces and is geared towards kiddos 18 mo and up.
This one is certainly much easier for little ones to use and it glides great over our floors. There is a front caster wheel that allows for smooth turns and it’s body is also made from hard, durable plastic. This is another PlaSmart product that comes fully assembled and ready to play with out of the box. As you can see in the photo, my 2 year old’s feet touch the ground and he was easily able to scoot around collecting toys. The PlasmaBug will soon be available in all PlaSmart retail stores!
The Smart Mat
When I was a kid we had this awesome rug that looked like a town with roads and buildings. We played with that rug everyday but eventually it got super dirty from all our play and being spot clean only, it was hard to keep it up. Thankfully PlaSmart has created 2 fun play mats that allows for loads of play and is super easy to clean! We tested out the PlaSmart Happyville Play Mat. They also offer a CastleTown Smart Mat as well! The Happyville one features a town, with buildings and roads that kiddos can use their own cars and action figures to play on.
Each Play Mat is made from EVA coated foam making it easy to wipe messes away and gives it a padded feel. The mat is quite large, 80 x 57 in so it easily covers a good chunk of our play room floor. The Play Mat arrives rolled up in a large tube, so we had to let it sit out with a few toys on the corners so it would loose the rolled shape it had gotten from the packaging. My kiddos have been having a blast rolling their cars along the roads and pretending to send their toys to the local school.
The Happyville Play Mat retails for $28.21 on Amazon.com and can be purchased HERE.
Splash Art
My kids love to color, unfortunately sometimes paper isn’t the only thing the crayons and markers end up on. For all of us parents who are sick of scrubbing art off the walls and floors, grab a Splash Art! This easy to carry, double sided doodle board uses water to create fun, colorful drawings that will disappear, leaving no mess and giving your children the ability to keep creating time after time.
Splash Art is geared towards kiddos 18 months and up. Just fill up the attached pen with water and let the creating begin! My kids have enjoyed playing with it. My 3 year old seems to like it the most, however it does take a while for it to dry. This would be the only downside I could see to this toy. Once both sides have been “colored” you must wait till the water dries to be able to draw again. This can take anywhere from 6-10 min, which left my 3 year old looking for something else to do.
The Splash Art retails for $15.13 on Amazon.com and can be purchased HERE.
Hard Working Tools – Drill
My kids are always wanting to get outdoors and get dirty. The Hard Working Tools family of toys by PlaSmart offer a fun way to engage in outdoor activities. We were sent the Drill from the set to check out. The Drill is definitely a good size for kids. It’s large, made from hard plastic and features the ability to twist the top while holding the middle to make the drill turn into the ground. We haven’t yet been able to test it out outside, since our dirt is super hard from the winter still, but my son has had fun toting it around the house. The Hard Working Tools set also offers a digger, and a grab bot! If you have kiddos who love discovering and digging outside, I highly recommend checking this set out once it’s released this year!
We’ve had a blast testing out and riding along on our PlaSmart products. They certainly know what kids and parents are looking for when it comes to toys. I’ve loved how durable their products are and that you can tell they are built to last. If you are looking for products that will last through the years, engage your kids in activities that are healthy and educational than PlaSmart is a brand for you!
