When it comes to my kiddos and TV, we have a set amount they are allowed to watch per day. Unfortunately, the shows they like to watch don’t revolve around our schedule. We’ve tried recording shows, but with our cable provider it’s hit or miss as to whether or not it will really record it on time or at all. Luckily NETFLIX has made watching my children’s favorite shows super easy and as a service that caters to us, we don’t have to worry about wrongful recordings!
With all the wonderful family options NETFLIX offers, we can watch movies and shows that are age appropriate for our kids and find options for us adults as well. They even offer a dedicated kids section with programs appropriate for children ages 2- 12. All content is selected with help from Common Sense Media to provide ratings, reviews and information so parents can easily make choices for their kids! Recently they’ve added even more great movie and show options such as:
- My Little Pony
- Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax
- 101 Dalmatians
- The Aristocats
- Pocahontas
- Angelina Ballerina
- Powerpuff Girls
- Thomas & Friends: Go Go Thomas
- Jake and the Never Land Pirates
- Curious George
- Caillou
- Sesame Street
- Curious George
- ParaNorman
My kids particularly like watching My Little Pony, The Powerpuff Girls, Thomas & Friends, Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax. I can’t tell you how amazing it is having all these television and movie options on demand. Not only do I no longer have to wait for a show to record, but I can take our favorites with us! With my NETFLIX account I can let my kids watch their favorites on the go or around the house using a tablet and the free netflix app or logging into our account with out Smart TV.
Another great option NETFLIX offers is the ability to save your favorites into an Instant Que. It’s like having your own personal library of your favorite shows and movies. You can add or subtract items from your Instant Que whenever you wish and it makes it easy to find the shows and movies you and your family tend to watch the most.
At just $7.99 a month for unlimited streaming video and shows it’s a great deal cheaper then the cable service we pay for. Especially since half the channels we get we don’t even watch. If you’d rather have all your favorite family-friendly movies and shows on demand, I highly suggest taking NETFLIX up on their free month trial and checking it out!
What are you watching on TV with your family? Netflix has family favorites from Disney, Disney Jr., Hasbro, Cartoon Network and Dreamworks that are available to stream anytime, anywhere. And streaming is easier than you think! Download the free app on your iPad, click on the Netflix app on any gaming device, go to the website on your computer – and you’re in business. Check it out here!

We LOVE Netflix and family movie night is a favorite of ours!
We had Netflix for a long time, but decided it wasn’t best for us at the time since the kids have their own TVs. We are undecided if we want it back but were pleased with all the shows they offered!
I love Netflix! I believe it’s one of the best investments that we have made.
movie night is definitely a treat for my family, so we invested in netflix and i’m really happy with it. thanks for giving us the latest show options
We too love Netflix. I love how you can switch it to the “kids only” side, so they can’t get themselves into programs that are inappropriate. It’s SO worth the subscription!
I LOVE Netflix.
Some of our best family moments have been with a bowl of popcorn and Netflix! Great review!
We love netflix! They have a good variety of streaming movies and a large selection of documentaries.
We love Netflix and my kids will be thrilled to learn they’ve added My Little Pony and The Lorax. Those are some of their favorites! It makes me happy that they are making a point to add family friendly programming especially with summer around the corner.
I LOVE Netflix. We ditched cable TV a few years back for Netflix, and have never looked back!
I adore Netflix. We ditched cable television more than a year ago for Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. It’s been the best thing ever. I feel like I have more control over what my daughter is watching, and how long she’s watching for. Plus, Netflix really does have some great movies, shows, and the favorites!
We love Netflix in our house. They have such a great selection, especially for kids.
I was just watching Netflix. We dont have cable so when I want to watch tv I watch Netflix.
Love Netflix. I’m watching the made for Netflix series “Hemlock Grove” right now. Loving it!
My Little Pony on Netflix is a must for my 3-year-old daughter. We can’t live without Netflix. Also I’m loving their original programming for grownups. Can’t wait for Arrested Development!
I love Netflix. yay for streaming. Who could beat $7.99 a month?! My boys love Transformers Prime!!
Netflix is awesome, I use it pretty much every day!
We love Netflix! We first got it a few years ago when we didn’t have cable, figuring it would be the next best thing if we wanted to watch a television series or movie. It has been awesome, and even though we got cable a little over a year ago, I still won’t give up my Netflix and still use it very frequently.
I actually got rid of cable in favor of Netflix last year! Netflix got me started on My Little Pony too, lol.
We’ve never had Netflix, but it sounds pretty awesome! We may have to try it. I’m tired of relying on youtube to find old episodes of shows my son loves.
Would love to have Netflix, sounds really awesome!.. Great review.. 🙂
I’ll be getting Netflix in about 4 weeks. We’re moving and I’m not signing up for cable. Can’t wait!
We love Netflix – it saves us sooooooooo much money and we only watch what we want, instead of keeping the tv on all day and night. Love it! Cute pics of your kids with popcorn too!
