Every Batch Made From Scratch! Aunt Jemima frozen breakfast “Lil’ Griddles” review!

Being a busy mom, I’m always looking for new ways to give my kids a good breakfast and stick to our fast paced schedule. With breakfast being the most crucial meal of the day, I hate when I feel like I’ve skimped by kids on a good first meal. Luckily, Aunt Jemima has created frozen breakfast meals that give you the goodness of a homemade meal. Aunt Jemima frozen breakfast takes great pride in making frozen pancakes, waffles and French toast just like moms across America make breakfast in their own kitchens — their griddles are just a little bit bigger.

Aunt Jemima’s new “Lil Griddles” line of frozen breakfasts are made from real ingredients, such as, eggs, milk and sugar to ensure their freshness and taste rivals that of a homemade breakfasts! The line includes three delicious bite-sized options for family fun; new Aunt Jemima frozen Blueberry Mini pancakes, Aunt Jemima frozen Mini pancakes, and Aunt Jemima frozen Cinnamon French Toast Sticks. Not only are they made from fresh ingredients, they do not contain any high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, or preservatives. A big seller in my book!

We were able to try out the new Aunt Jemima Lil Griddles, Buttermilk Pancakes! The box contains 12 pancakes (14.8oz) and ran $2.44 at my local grocery store. The pancakes can be prepared four different ways, in the microwave, a toaster, a conventional oven or in a true cook oven. We choose the microwave, since that’s the easiest for us. I removed the pancakes from the packaging, placed them on a microwave safe plate and within 1:15 sec we had hot and ready pancakes! I have to admit I was kind of leery over them being frozen pancakes. Pancakes are by far, my FAVORITE breakfast food, so when it comes to comparing them to my own they need to be amazing!

 

The smell from the pancakes was pretty enticing I have to admit. You can tell there is a hint of vanilla in them and they really do smell like homemade pancakes! We put a little butter on them and served them up. I was shocked how fast my kiddos gobbled them up! My 3 and 2 year old just loved them and I didn’t feel guilty giving them something that was free of additives. Tasting the pancakes myself, I was also surprised at how good they were! You really can taste the different between the Aunt Jemima Lil’ Griddles and other frozen pancake brands. There isn’t that cardboard-like taste to them and they feel and look fresh.  All in all I can easily say the Aunt Jemima Lil’ Griddles are a frozen breakfast I’m excited and happy to purchase in the future!
