I participated in an In-Home Party Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Mattel. I received product samples to facilitate my party and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
If you have a daughter like mine, she’s into all things girly, pink, princess-y and of course Barbie! She loves playing with the dolls and watching the movies, which is why she was super excited to find out about the new Barbie movie, Barbie And The Secret Door. In this fun new adventure, Barbie stars as Alexa, a princess who’s too shy to tend to her royal duties. One day she discovers a magical door that transports her to a whole new world full of fairies, mermaids and unicorns. Inside, Alexa meets Romy and Nori, a mermaid and a fairy, who explain that a spoiled ruler named Malucia is trying to take all the magic in the land. To her surprise, Alexa has magical powers in this world, and her new friends are certain that only she can restore their magic and save the land!
We were asked to host an in-home party for the new Barbie And The Secret Door movie so we invited a few of my daughter’s neighborhood friends over and made it a girl’s day! My daughter dawned one of her Barbie dress-up dresses while she and I started preparing the party table. She had so much fun filling the neat Barbie buckets we found with the favors we bought. Each attendee received some nail polish, lip gloss, bubbles, star glasses, Barbie tiaras and either a Nori or Alexa Barbie Doll. We also had bright pink cupcakes and juice boxes for the kiddos to enjoy while watching the movie and we put out some fun Barbie And The Secret Door coloring pages.
Once the girls arrived they all had fun going through their goodies, discovering the dolls and coloring along with the story. We flipped on the movie and as soon as Barbie showed up on the screen it was an all out screech fest! The girls were SO excited and they all loved playing with their dolls as the movie went along. Everyone seemed to enjoy the film, including the moms. The girls loved all the characters, singing, dancing and magic while us moms liked that the movie was teaching the girls to stand up for what they value and to believe in themselves.
