Thank you to KidKraft for providing me with samples to review. All opinions are my own.
The sun is finally waking up from Winter and gracing us with it’s warmth for Spring! This means kids of all ages are heading outdoors again and with outdoor play comes endless activities. Playing outside is loads of fun but once that energy starts to wear off, our little outdoor adventurers will need some where to rest. Thankfully KidKraft has created an array of adorable seating options for kids, including their new, wooden Adirondack chairs! These super cute and functional chairs are great as an outdoor seating option for kids. Plus, with the ability to personalize them you never have to worry about which kid gets what chair!
I had the opportunity to test out two of their latest colors, the Honey and the Espresso, both of which are beautiful! KidKraft offers the ability to personalize each chair with up to 8 characters which makes them even more special. The chairs to require assembly but I was able to get both chairs put together in about 45 min which I felt was pretty good. I knew the chairs would be great for my kiddos but I was honestly surprised at how nice the wood was that they were made from. It’s thick, beautifully stained and the personalization is painted on, not a decal which makes me feel like it will certainly last longer outside.
Once all put together the chairs looked great and are the perfect size for my kids, ages 3 and 4! My 4 year old is quite tall for her age so I feel comfortable saying that these would be great for kids on up to 7 years old. They LOVE having their own chairs and I can tell they feel special sitting in them. Both the honey and espresso colors are very pretty however the darker espresso one does show more shmootz (one of my many mom words) when it’s dirty. My kiddos have taken to decorating them with their sidewalk chalk and then washing it off to create again later, but the espresso chair tends to show more of the chalk residue then the honey does.
The only thing I wish the chairs did have was a clear protection coating over the wood. This would make it feel a little smoother and help to protect from the elements. The chairs are very well sanded and when I run my hand over them they are smooth, but I know as time goes on and outdoor living starts to get to them that will change.
All in all, the wooden Adirondack chairs from KidKraft are a great solution to outdoor seating for kiddos! We have gotten a lot of compliments from our local friends and neighborhood kids who like sitting in them when they visit and my own children absolutely love them! If you’re looking for a great gift or to make your patio a little more kid friendly, I highly suggest checking out the wooden Adirondack chairs from KidKraft!
