Summer is in full swing and it is HOT here in Texas. We are always looking for fun ways to stay cool and what better way to chill out then with homemade snow cones! Nostalgia Electrics Old Fashioned Carnival Snow Cone Cart is the perfect solution to hot Summer days. Easy to use and fun to look at, the snow cone cart adds an old world touch to any get together!
We had the chance to test out the Old Fashioned Carnival Snow Cone Cart for ourselves and it’s been a major hit! It does take some assembly as the cart part of the machine needs to be put together. It took us about an hour to get together.
Operating the machine is a snap! Just grab some ice out of the freezer, let it sit out for about 15 min or until it becomes wet to the touch and then place it in the hopper on top of the machine. Close up the hopper, press the on button and let it go. Within seconds I was seeing perfectly shaved ice! The snow was light and fluffy and the perfect texture for snow cones.
We had picked up some snow cone syrups, cones and straws at our local grocery store and with the included scoop, were able to make perfect snow cones! We hosted a little get together at our home for our friends and the kids were just going crazy for the snow cones and to watch it make the snow. The best part for me, is that since it’s only grinding ice it makes for an easy clean up! The machine does come with an extra replacement blade which is nice since it will help to prolong the life of the machine.

I can remember shaving ice by hand to make snow cones for my children. Needless to say, we didn’t have them to often. Now I have grandchildren (18 to be exact) and would love to have the Old Fashioned Carnival Snow Cone Cart to make snow cones for them–this would be so easy. Can you imagine shaving ice by hand for 18 grandchildren? That would probably send me to an early grave. lol I like that this product comes with an extra blade–we could be making snow cones for a long time.
