When it comes to educational products for kids, LeapFrog is a seasoned pro! With everything from tablets to flashcards, Leapfrog has always been there when I needed a product that I felt would prepare my children for educational milestones ahead of them. Recently I was given the opportunity to test out a LeapFrog LeapReader and accessories and host a LeapFrog LeapReader Ready, Set Read & Write Party! I was beyond excited to be a host since LeapFrog products are such big hits in our house! Plus with my daughter starting Kindergarten soon, the LeapReader is perfect for giving her a boost on reading and writing her letters and numbers!
In case you aren’t familiar with the LeapFrog LeapReader, it’s an interactive pen that can be used with all sorts of activity books and accessories from LeapFrog. The pen can be pre-loaded with books and when pressed against a page, will recognize the book and read, ask questions or even play games and songs with the reader! Our party pack came with an array of wonderful items compatible with the LeapFrog LeapReader including:

With such amazing products, I couldn’t wait for our party guests to arrive! We had a bunch of fun LeapFrog themed activities planned. Once the kiddos started to arrive there was no question all the neat items on the living room table caught their eye! Each kid dived right in and loved wearing the fun 3D glasses that were provided for the Monsters University book. It was so cute to see them all so immersed in the books and flashcards despite how old they were! We had a few kids that were Kindergarten age but some were a bit younger.
The LeapReaders were a massive hit!! Every kid wanted a turn with them and once it was learned that they spoke, sang and played games that went along with the books they were even more excited! It’s so nice that the LeapReader pens are made from durable but light plastic so they are easy for kids to use. The books are a great size as well and I love that the workbooks even come with extra activity sheets to for learning to write letters!
I was really surprised at how well the kids were taking turns with each LeapFrog LeapReader product! The flashcards were a big hit along with the 3D glasses and the activity books. I think it’s awesome that the LeapReader pen can be used to write AND read! When placed over the letters to trace in the workbooks, it will tell them what the letter is and how it sounds. The kids and adults were having so much fun, that nearly 2 hours totally flew by and neither one of us noticed!
With how much fun everyone seemed to have and the interest each kid had in the LeapFrog LeapReader products, I’d say our LeapFrog LeapReader Ready, Set, Read & Write Mommy Party was a total success!! We even had the moms saying they were adding them to their holiday shopping lists! I have to agree, the LeapFrog LeapReader truly is an amazing product. It’s crazy that something so small could make such a large impact on children and their ability to read and write with confidence. If you have a child age 4 and up and are looking to help excite them about reading and writing, I highly suggest checking out LeapFrog’s LeapReader and accessories!

This looks like a great product! I have used a combination of several LeapFrog products to teach my children to read. Now my oldest reads 3 grades above his class level.
I was curious to see how the kids at your party liked theirs. My kids had a field day with them! My son can’t wait to use his every chance he gets. He literally spent hours walking around using it.
