Thank you to The Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston, TX for providing me with a 2 night stay at their hotel in order to conduct my review. All opinions are my own.
There’s nothing like the feeling of helping others, especially during the holiday season. Combine that feeling with a group of bloggers determined to spread the hope to those less fortunate and a beautiful, newly renovated hotel venue and you get one awesome holiday blogging event! I recently attended a charity event to benefit the Star Of Hope Mission at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston, TX. The Royal Sonesta was kind enough to offer up their hotel as a gorgeous venue for our event and to have a chance to check out the new $25 million dollar renovations they’d just done! I couldn’t think of a better place to host such a great event.
From the moment we arrived at the Royal Sonesta in Houston, TX to the moment we walked out the door we were treated like royalty! The first thing you notice when you walk into the lobby is the stunning, giant glass chandelier that seems to dance along the ceiling like ribbon.
The staff was beyond impeccable and many times went above and beyond what I was used to in making sure we were having a great time and were comfortable. We even received a surprise plate of goodies after checking in which consisted of chocolates, cookies and a bottle of water. The kids were of course happy and it was such a sweet gesture! We were able to stay in one of the newly renovated double rooms and it was beautiful! The rooms were spacious and modern and the kids had fun testing out the new beds. I loved that the inside the showers were dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash, which happened to smell absolutely amazing! Our first night was wonderful and we awoke to enjoy a plentiful breakfast buffet at The Restaurant down in the lobby.
I really have to emphasize the service we received while staying at the Royal Sonesta. I came to event by myself with my 2 little ones, which always comes with it’s challenges. Every staff member we encountered was super nice, always willing to help me and never once made me feel like my children were interrupting anything. This truly meant SO much to me and I wish to extend my thanks again to the Royal Sonesta and their staff for making our stay so wonderful!
Saturday was our get together to benefit the Star Of Hope Mission. It was so amazing seeing Texas bloggers from all over come together at the Royal Sonesta to celebrate such a great cause. We all chipped in our donations and the Royal Sonesta treated us to an evening in their Axis Lounge. The lounge was gorgeous with modern touches and a good size for hosting such a party. The open floor plan of the lounge allows you to feel as if you’re set apart from the hotel but still in a spacious layout. Again, the staff was divine and all the families seemed to have a great time!
We had a wonderful benefit event and raised lots of money and donations for the Star Of Hope Mission. To add a little more frosting to the cake, a local company called, Catch A Character has offered to donate 50% of every purchase on all Catch A Character websites moving forward for the next year to benefit the Star Of Hope! Catch A Character allows kids to see that their favorite fictional characters are not only real, but have actually been ‘Caught on Camera’ in their very own home! User’s will also receive a 10% discount on their entire purchase using coupon code, #HolidayHope.
I had such a spectacular time discovering the Royal Sonesta in Houston and helping to benefit the Star Of Hope Mission. If you’re planning on visiting Houston anytime soon, I highly recommend experiencing a stay with the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston, TX!
