An ode to the Cheesecake Goddess – Miss NiNi’s Fine Desserts!

What do you get when you mix years of down home baking experience, mid-west charm and a love for the best ingredients? The finest cheesecake ever to grace these dessert loving lips, that’s what! If you haven’t heard of Miss NiNi’s Fine Desserts than I’m hear to tell you, you are SERIOUSLY missing out!

Formally Encore Desserts, Miss NiNi’s Fine Desserts was concocted from years of baking love, attention to detail and learning the best ways to add the finest of ingredients to baked goods. Learning and loving to bake as a child with her mother, Miss NiNi’s baking passion has grown into what is now an award-winning labor of love. She’s won countless competitions including a number of Grand Champion Awards at the Iowa State Fair ( the largest food competition of it’s kind in the US) and has even passed down her baking expertise to her two daughter’s, who have also become local and state 4-H baking champions.

We were sent a gorgeous cheesecake sampler from Miss NiNi’s Fine Desserts to try out and I must say, I about toppled over when I saw it! Removing the sampler from the box was like Christmas morning and upon seeing all the decadent flavors included, it was as if I’d been lifted up onto cloud 9! Cheesecake after all, is one of my absolute favorite desserts and something I consider myself to be a connoisseur of. So when it comes to tasting it, I hold the bar relatively high.

The sampler included 7 amazing flavors, Decadent Turtle, Lemon Raspberry Swirl, Best of the Best Lemon, Creamy Vanilla, Chocolate Raspberry Swirl, Pumpkin Praline, and Peanut Butter Fudge. All of the slices were huge, especially the Best of the Best Lemon and the Lemon Raspberry Swirl. (These were enormous!) I can only imagine the size a full cake of each is! The slices were nicely wrapped in plastic to preserve freshness and arrived in a package with dry ice to make sure it arrived fresh.  It was nice that each piece was labeled for easy choosing. 

I took a few of the slices out and presented them on a dish. They display beautifully and would make for the perfect center piece of any party or gathering! The smell of each slice was hypnotic. I think one of the hardest decisions of my life was choosing which piece to try first! I picked up a fork and childishly played Eenie Meenie Mynie Moe and landed on Chocolate Raspberry Swirl. My first bite was like eating a chunk of a chocolate and raspberry flavored cloud! The cheesecake was so light and fluffy, it melted in my mouth and I could taste the two flavors perfectly.

Miss NiNi prides herself in using only the finest ingredients, including fresh creamery butter, golden brown sugar, and the purest of extracts, which shows in the tastes and flavors of her creations. Every bite of the different flavors was like being transported into another world. Each one had it’s own personality and it was fun to taste them all. My family loved having the options of different flavors and while my favorite boarders between the Chocolate Raspberry Swirl and the Decadent Turtle, my husband and kiddos enjoyed the other ones.

When is comes to handcrafted, stunning desserts, none are baked with more love than Miss NiNi’s Fine Desserts. Her years of baking and striving for excellence have proved her well and I’m sure Miss NiNi’s Fine Desserts will continue to set the bar for quality baked goods.
