Being a caregiver to a child with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) has been my biggest life challenge yet. Finding out your baby has a life-long illness is never an easy thing to handle and staying positive certainly has proven to be hard many, many times. I can’t tell you the times I’ve cried, screamed, been mad at the world and even thought why my child. However after finally accepting the challenge we had been given by the universe, I slowly started to realize that it was my destiny to take this journey with my daughter. I was to be her guide through this hard and strenuous test in her life and she was to be my shining star.
Over the years I’ve found motivation in other’s words and reading my favorite quotes daily, especially when both my daughter and I have had a rough day. It really helps knowing that other’s have gone through equally hard issues and have come out to be just fine and better people because of it. Take a look at a few of my favorite motivational quotes and maybe one will speak to you!
Cystic Fibrosis is a serious and life-long respiratory and digestive disorder that effects more than 30,000 adults and children in the U.S at any given time. Most of the time, those with CF must do everything from taking multiple medications a day to performing special breathing and lung routines as well as wearing a vibrating vest for hours a day. Living with CF or caring for someone who does is different for everyone but no matter what your CF experience is like, we all know the hardships involved with it. Staying motivated through life’s hiccups is such a major component of staying happy, avoiding depression and being strong for those we love. As a caregiver to a child with CF, I’m proud to be a part of the Walgreen’s CF Champions “Navigating The Journey, Together”
If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with CF and is looking for guidance and resources, Walgreen’s Cystic Fibrosis (CFS) Services Website is a wonderful place to start.
I am so sorry that your family is struck with this sickness. God allows things to happen for a reason. I am going to be praying for you. I pray that you will get to know God in a personal way and he will reveal many wonderful things to you. Thank you for sharing. God Bless
