When I hit my 20’s, bladder leakage was a subject I felt would be something I never thought I’d be discussing let alone experiencing. Now, having had 3 kids and being only 28, I feel as if my bladder has been beaten down to the point it can no longer hold it’s weight. Literally! I will honestly admit that I can’t sneeze, laugh, or cough without worrying that I peed my pants a little.. and sometimes more than I’d like to admit. It’s something I’ve come to realize I can’t control yet need to be able to live comfortably with. Although I used to think bladder leakage was something older women experienced, I was a bit shocked to find out that more women in their 20’s have bladder leakage than those in their 80’s. Not only that, but the average age for bladder leakage is just 52 years young and most those with leakage are younger than 60!
Depend knows that being a young women with bladder leakage can be a damper sometimes which is why they’ve created the perfect solution. New, Depend Silhouette Active Fit Briefs. These new briefs were designed to fit women’s bodies while staying hidden under their clothing. Their made to move with your body and still keep you dry. They have a lower rise+ for an underwear-like look, fit and feel. Plus, as a category first, Depend Silhouette Active Fit is available in black and beige colors.
Thankfully Depend has set out to make young women experiencing bladder leakage more comfortable with their bodies through their #UnderAwareness campaign. This campaign is a social movement and charitable cause to break down the bladder leakage stigma that surrounds the issue today. As part of #Underwareness, the Depend brand is encouraging people to show their support for women with bladder leakage. For every photo and video shared using #Underwareness and featuring Depend products, the Depend brand will donate $1, up to $3 million, through 2016 to fund charities that advance the research and education of bladder leakage. With 2015 being the second year of the #UnderAwareness campaign, Depend hopes it will help everyone suffering from bladder leakage to stand up and be comfortable.
